The year 2024 has a special meaning for us. From mid-January to mid-July, we will be in Tanzania together as a team (Ruppli family & Salvisberg family). During this time, people from our German-speaking network will visit us again and again and support us on site.
I (Joël) have been in Musoma with my nephew Andrin for 5 weeks now. The current focus is primarily on ensuring that the construction of the mission house makes rapid progress and comes to a good end. At the same time, we also preached the gospel and visited various villages and families. Here are two insights:
Two weeks ago, Anita, our children, the Ruppli family and the Neumann family joined us and arrived safely. We are now living together in a lodge and are all really looking forward to moving into the mission house soon. There we will have more peace and quiet and opportunities to relax. We hope to be ready at the beginning of March...
It is an enriching experience to work with Daniel A. Ouma. He is deeply committed to reaching previously unreached groups and making disciples of Jesus out of local "Christians". Daniel is particularly concerned about the welfare of people in poverty, as he himself comes from a poor background.

One of our greatest prayer concerns is that we find committed translators who are born again, love Jesus and want to follow HIM wholeheartedly. We want to train them in the gospel and in preaching in order to become more effective together.
We have recently started to do a Bible study in a small group. Our initial focus is on the nature and character of God. Together with the local disciples, we want to discover how this topic practically affects our lives.
"But this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

We also go from door to door to spread the gospel and are happy that people choose to follow Jesus. We are planning to do the baptisms at the beginning of March, but we need to organize more as we can't baptize everywhere because of crocodiles.
